Overview
Seoul Trail (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the website seoul-trail.com. This page explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
Information We Collect
Automatically Collected Data
When you visit Seoul Trail, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may automatically log standard server data, including:
- IP address and approximate geographic location
- Browser type and operating system
- Pages visited and time spent on the site
- Referring website or search term
We do not collect your name, email address, or other personally identifiable information unless you contact us directly.

We store a single item in your browser’s localStorage:
- Language preference (
seoultrails_lang): the language code you select on the language selection screen (e.g.,en,ja,zh-cn). This stays in your browser only and is never sent to our servers.
Cookies & Third-Party Advertising
Google AdSense
We display advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies to show ads based on your browsing history on this and other websites. These are third-party cookies managed entirely by Google.
You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google’s Ads Settings or via the NAI opt-out page.
For more information, see Google’s Privacy Policy.
Weather Data
Real-time weather is fetched from Open-Meteo, a free public API. Only the fixed coordinates of Seoul (latitude 37.57, longitude 126.98) are sent — no personal data.
How We Use Information
We use the data described above solely to:
- Deliver and improve the Seoul Trail website
- Display relevant advertising through Google AdSense

Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under applicable privacy law (including GDPR for EU residents and CCPA for California residents), such as the right to access, correct, or delete data held about you. Because we do not collect personal data directly, most requests should be directed to Google via their privacy controls.
To exercise any rights relating to data processed by us, contact us at the email address below.
